I hope y'all had a great Memorial Day Weekend! I'm so thankful and appreciative of all the soldiers who fight day in and day out for our safety and freedom, and especially those who have given their lives to serve.
With Memorial Day, I feel like we unofficially kick off the summer. So I thought that for this week, I'd start it off with some Lemon Wedding Inspiration! Enjoy!
I'm so excited to end off the week of succulent inspired weddings with succulent bouquets! Aren't these bouquets totally gorgeous?! I love them. And the fact that they are all so different and yet all incorporate succulents is absolutely stunning. Enjoy!
This final photo is actually not of cake, but when I first saw the photo, I thought that it was cupcakes with succulents on top. How cool would that idea be if you opted for cupcakes instead of a full cake?
There are so many lovely and different uses of succulents that I couldn't post all the ideas there are out there. So I narrowed down a few of my favorites. Friday, I'll be devoting the post entirely to succulent bouquets! I especially am in love with the last photo with hanging succulents in glass vessels! It's so pretty!
When I think of a wedding with succulents, I imagine a certain type of dress. On the one hand, I see lacy dresses with intricate lace details. I also see dresses with a mermaid type fit. When I scoured the web for images of weddings with succulents, these were also the type of dresses I found most often. I think any of these dresses would be lovely with a succulent themed wedding.
Ah, succulents. There's just something so special about them. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I do love succulents. So I thought that I'd focus on succulents this week and succulent wedding ideas. Succulents are oh so versatile and I didn't really realize this until I went hunting for photos. You can easily use succulents for wedding decor, for seating charts, and centerpieces. Succulent wedding bouquets are gorgeous! And so is a wedding cake decorated with succulents. Can't wait to share it all this week!
If I knew half of what I know now about how to make an engagement session personal and fun, I think I would have chosen to have part of our engagement session in a library. It's my book loving heart, I suppose. How fun would it be to take engagement photos in a library? I think half the fun would be trying to be quiet. I can imagine a whole lot of giggling.
I'm sure I could go on and on with dreamy library engagement sessions. It must be the book nerd in me. If I were to do it all again, or have an anniversary portrait session, I think one of the stops would definitely be a library. If you can't have your wedding in a library, then maybe a library engagement session will fill your bibliophile heart!
What's your favorite book or recommended read? I'm always looking for new books for my book list!

This is a nifty (yes, I said nifty!) way of displaying your escort cards, in a card catalog! I remember in high school having to use these to find books. Let's just say, I'm thankful it's all computerized now!
