Ranch Wedding Ideas: Paper

Howdy from California!

Just a quick note to finish off our week of Ranch Wedding Ideas: Paper. I loved these gorgeous pieces both from Texas Ranch Weddings.

I guess a little part of me misses Texas, which is so interesting after living there for two years. I never really thought that I'd like living there, but now with our lives built there, and a new set of friends, it's actually not so bad. I just wish our families were a little closer than three hour plane rides towards either coast.

Enjoy!

Ranch Wedding Inspiration: Cakes

It's so weird that I haven't blogged in two days! I'm so used to being in a routine. However, I'm on a mini vacation of sorts in California, so it's been hard to be good with blogging. But no worries, I'm catching up know to round out the week of ranch wedding ideas and inspiration. I seriously love ranch weddings.

Also it's been great to be in California to keep my mind from obsessing over that job interview! I have a second on Tuesday. And while I won't let it bum me out just yet, I just found out that I have at least one contender for the position, which means I just need to knock it out of the park on Tuesday. EEEEK!

Ranch Wedding Ideas: Photos to Love

Well good news! I know that my references were checked for that job and they asked me in for a second interview! I'm thinking that it won't be too much of an "interview" at least I hope not. I asked the hiring manager what it would entail and he said I'd be meeting more people, getting a tour of the office, and an "aptitude" test...I think showing that I can work a computer, which I totally can! So keep your fingers crossed. Thank you!

And I almost forgot. I head out to San Francisco tomorrow morning to visit family and friends for the weekend. Sadly, the mister cannot come with me, but it will be great to see my family who I haven't seen since Thanksgiving!

So as I was looking over gorgeous photos, I thought why not share the photos that I would want captured if I had a ranch wedding. I love these ones:

Ranch Wedding Inspiration: Stunning Venues

I need a distraction while I wait for this job...Seriously, I need something that will stop me from obsessing. I guess that's what happens when you really want something right? I'll visualize it, but I won't drive myself crazy over it. In fact, my awesome husband got me free advance screening passes to see Crazy, Stupid, Love tonight. I say "me" because he can't come, but I think he's okay with missing it. Haha. I'll let y'all know what I think, but between Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and Julianne Moore, I think it has some good potential!

Ah ranch venues. You make my heart skip a beat.

There are so many fun ranch venues out there, you just have to scope them out. And sometimes, they may not even be venues, they could be the private ranch estate. How cool would that be?!

Style Board: Ranch Wedding Ideas

Hey y'all happy Monday!

Well, I'm excited to report that my interview went great! I think it was the first time I've ever gone on an interview that I was excited about and actually felt really confident going into! I heard back from the hiring manager asking for references, so I'm thinking that's a good sign. So keep the good vibes and prayers coming, and thanks so much for the encouragement! I really appreciate it!

This week, I put together a ranch wedding style board. There's just something about rustic weddings that make my heart skip a beat. Maybe it's because I live in Texas now... Anyway, onto the board!

Bohemian Chic Wedding Inspiration: Stationery

The interview was today. That's why I haven't posted until this afternoon. I'm feeling good about it. In all honesty, this was probably the first job interview that I've actually been excited about. So much so that I had a hard time falling asleep. I'm really hoping that my personality and passion showed through in the interview. It would not only be awesome to work there, but it would also help with the finances. We'd be able to SAVE money (for a rainy day and for future vacations) and have a little more wiggle room to play with. So please, if you pray, think good thoughts, send good vibes, or whatever the case may be, I'll truly appreciate it!!

Onto the stationery that is perfect for a bohemian chic wedding:

Bohemian Chic Wedding Ideas: Decor

Oh the anticipation. My interview is tomorrow and I can't decide if I'm more nervous or excited. Both, definitely. I'm hoping the excitement will shine through as enthusiasm for the position. Thank you for your well wishes. I really appreciate it!

So to help calm my nerves, I pulled lovely decor photos for a bohemian chic wedding. Earthy. Colorful. All the while chic.

Bohemian Chic Wedding Inspiration: Dresses

So I applied for this job and I have an interview on Thursday! Part of me is so nervous because this is the first "real" interview that I've been able to get since my last position. I used to work in the publishing industry, and before you start thinking it might have been something glamourous like The Devil Wears Prada, I used to work in the textbook publishing industry. Totally different. And while the job paid my bills, I just wasn't passionate about it. When I relocated to Texas and was told I couldn't keep my job, well, I wasn't heartbroken or anything.

However, I think that working there kind of put my skills in a box. With their very industry specific job titles, finding another job out here has been less than easy! I'm pretty sure that when my resume is skimmed by the HR person, I get passed over because they just read job titles. At least that's what I think. So I'm super excited about the opportunity, but I also don't want to mess it up. I haven't been on an interview (that I really wanted) in almost five years. 5 YEARS. So if you have any advice for interviewing success, please share!

When I think Bohemian, I think independent and unique. Unlike the "norm". So when searching for some dress ideas, I came upon these beauties. Flowing and simple.

I couldn't help but share this photo when I spotted it. It's the gorgeous Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, in a beautiful flowing dress. Wouldn't this make the perfect bohemian chic wedding dress? Simple, yet oh so fabulous!

Happy Tuesday!

Style Board: Bohemian Chic Wedding

Happy Monday y'all!

Today I'm celebrating our second wedding anniversary! I can't believe that it's already been two years, it has gone by so quickly. Sometimes I think that it's only our first anniversary. We celebrated by taking a trip down to San Antonio. We ate great food, we had fun at SeaWorld, went on a Riverwalk cruise, and had a great dinner on the Riverwalk.

How was y'alls weekend?

This week, I'm featuring Bohemian Chic wedding ideas. I love the colorful vibe!

Nautical Wedding Ideas: Dessert Tables

Who doesn't love desserts? Okay, I know there are probably some who don't have a sweet tooth, but I probably have a sweet tooth large enough for three people! And so to top off this nautical week, before we dash off to San Antonio for our anniversary, I thought I'd share some lovely nautical dessert tables.

When I was searching I found that most of these were for kid's parties, but I think with some help from a designer or wedding branding, you could bring this up to wedding chic. I especially love the dessert table from Project Wedding right by the water.

Nautical Wedding Inspiration: Stationery

I'm SO EXCITED about seeing Harry Potter tonight! I'm also considering how much caffeine to consume and/or naps I should take to prepare for tonight. We're seeing Part 1 at 9pm and then Part 2 at midnight...so that means we'll be home in bed probably by 3! And we're used to going to bed by 11:30. My husband suggested some 5 Hour Energy. Ha.

But on to the goods! Today I'm sharing pretty paper. Nautical themed stationery for your nautical wedding!

Wouldn't this make a lovely sign for your wedding and then an amazing art piece for your home!?

And here's a sneak peek at tomorrow's post:

Happy Thursday! And to all those watching Harry Potter tonight, caffeine/nap it up! :)

Nautical Wedding Ideas: Decor, Escort Cards & Favors

This week's nautical wedding theme has totally gotten me thinking about the water! I'm excited because I'll be getting a small dose of water...a river counts, right? My hubby and I are heading down to San Antonio for our anniversary weekend. Two years has certainly flown by oh so fast!

Tomorrow we'll be kicking off the festivities by going to see Harry Potter at midnight! Actually, we'll be seeing Harry Potter 7.1 first then followed by 7.2. I'm super excited to see the final installment.

So for today, I've pulled some lovely decor, escort cards, and favor ideas for a breezy nautical wedding.

Happy Wednesday!
