I've seen my fair share of useless and lame wedding favors. And I think wedding favors tend to get a bad wrap for being less than exciting. However, if I were to attend a wedding and receive a cake ball as a favor, I would be more than excited! It's actually happened before - great wedding, by the way. And being one for tradition, I couldn't just eat the cake ball during the wedding, but I waited until the car ride home. 

It was a delicious ending to a wonderful day.

Camping Wedding Ideas: S'mores Favors

So apparently today is National S'mores Day! I had no idea, and did not plan for it to coincide with camping week. It's just perfect though, because who goes camping without making S'mores? I'm guessing no one, but as someone who has never gone camping in the woods, in a tent, (I'm more of a hotel "camping" type girl), I can't fully say. But I do love me some S'mores!!

And how PERFECT would S'mores Favors be for your camping themed wedding?

DIY Week: Favors

Oy. The anticipation is killing me. I'm hoping, wishing, praying, and maybe chanting next for some patience. I was told that the decision would be made today. I was hoping that they'd call or email me at the beginning of the day. But nothing so far. I'm DYING HERE. I'm usually pretty patient...but since I know I'll hear back SOMETHING TODAY...I'm trying to preoccupy myself with other things.

It's working. SORT OF. 

Maybe I need to plug myself into Netflix for the day until the phone rings or email pings. AAAAH.

Alas, I just have to wait some more. But I'm super to stoked to share this DIY project I found on Style Me Pretty. I think favors are totally something you can DIY. We DIY'ed our favors and they turned out lovely. (I'll have to go dig for a photo!) I think favors add a beautiful, personal touch, especially if it's something that reflects you as a couple. This is just one idea for a favor. There are SO many others out there!

Nautical Wedding Ideas: Decor, Escort Cards & Favors

This week's nautical wedding theme has totally gotten me thinking about the water! I'm excited because I'll be getting a small dose of water...a river counts, right? My hubby and I are heading down to San Antonio for our anniversary weekend. Two years has certainly flown by oh so fast!

Tomorrow we'll be kicking off the festivities by going to see Harry Potter at midnight! Actually, we'll be seeing Harry Potter 7.1 first then followed by 7.2. I'm super excited to see the final installment.

So for today, I've pulled some lovely decor, escort cards, and favor ideas for a breezy nautical wedding.

Summer Picnic Wedding Ideas: Flowers and Favors

Sometimes I wish I had a green thumb. I wish I could plant flowers and have them flourish. However, I have a decidedly brown thumb. Or perhaps, a black thumb. My mom is a gardener by hobby and has a lovely garden. We kind of struggle to keep the grass green. I've accepted the fact that the summer just kills the lawn in Texas, especially since we have watering regulations due to drought conditions.

But I wish I knew flowers.

I have a huge appreciation for pretty flowers and some of my favorites are peonies, dahlias, and anemones. There are probably others, but I don't know their names.

Here are a few floral and favor ideas that would complement a summer picnic wedding!
